Please email riley.mariana@cuyahogabdd.org with resumes and/or questions. ***Will training / Open to Job Coaching / $100 for safety items / FT benefits*** Environment/Requirement: - Drug screening and background check - HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent - Vocational training on electrical principles is a plus - Frequent standing - Basic problem-solving and ability to decide if outside help is needed - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company documents Job Duties: - The ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and engineering documents pertaining to machining and assembly. Includes, but not limited to the ability to determine dimensions and tolerances on any machined feature. - Use measurement tools including, tape measures, mechanical/digital calipers, mechanical/digital micrometers, height gauges, and depth gauges. - Work from a provided setup sheet or program to determine if a machine has the tools needed to machine a part and/or load the necessary tools. - Selecting and preparing stock for machining including cutting stock to the appropriate length. - Tracking stock utilization, length and lot/heat number. Properly manage scrap parts and material. - Loading provided programs into a machine and selecting from programs stored on the machine. - Observer machine operations, ensure parts meet specification, check for and mitigate damaged parts. - Calculate and make the necessary offsets to machines to produce parts within specification. - Follow all magnesium machining procedures including but not limited to: ensuring machines have functional coolant, clearing machines of chips when not in the vicinity, and ensuring all chips are taken out of the building at the end of the day. - Refill, change, and monitor the level of fluids, such as oil and coolant, in machines. - Maintain communication your supervisor, programmers, and other personnel to ensure that machines are running properly. - Other duties as assigned.
