Who We Help

Our organization supports individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, which encompass a range of conditions resulting from limitations in physical, cognitive, language, or behavioral areas. These conditions typically emerge during a person’s developmental stage, can affect daily functioning, and often persist throughout their lifetime.

Cuyahoga DD is proud to present Sophia Beohmerle as a new Good Life Ambassador (GLA). Sophia, 19, is a recent graduate of North Olmsted High School. She is currently a freshman at Cleveland State University, where she is double-majoring in Political Science and Sport and Entertainment Management. Sophia plans to pursue law school after undergrad, with the goal of becoming an ADA attorney. She is also working in her third season as a Premium Seating Attendant for the Cleveland Guardians. She loves Cleveland sports, reading, and watching a good cop show. Sophia can't wait to start her new position, as she will get to advocate for the disability community, a role she has wanted to pursue professionally before and wants to continue doing in her career. Good Life Ambassadors present throughout the community on various disability-related topics.
