Who We Help

Our organization supports individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, which encompass a range of conditions resulting from limitations in physical, cognitive, language, or behavioral areas. These conditions typically emerge during a person’s developmental stage, can affect daily functioning, and often persist throughout their lifetime.

The Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) Hopkins Hospitality programs create a more accessible and accommodating travel experience for all. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program and Hopkins Hangout Pass are two programs that can support you. The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program allows people with non-visible and visible disabilities to discreetly signal that they may need additional time or support while traveling. The Hopkins Hangout Pass is a non-ticketed guest pass that allows access to accompany a departing loved one or greet a friend upon arrival on the security side of the airport. Sensory items support anyone in new, loud, or stressful situations or places. This year, at Cuyahoga DD's Family Events, in partnership with the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland moCa, we are sharing free Community Sensory Support Bags. The bags can support the people we serve wherever they go. The West Side Market presents Disability Access Day! Visit the Market on Wednesday, June 10, from 10 am - 2 pm to celebrate accessibility. Access Day Features: Personal Guides • 30 minutes of shopping support • Sighted Human Guide sign pp, surveymonkey.com/r/SightGuide • American Sign Language Interpreters sign up, surveymonkey.com/r/ASLGuide Mobile Sensory Space • A calm space for people who may feel overwhelmed at events.
