House Concurrent Resolution 44 (HCR44), introduced by Representatives Tristan Rader of Cuyahoga County and Mike Odioso of Hamilton County, highlights the Leadership Council in Cuyahoga County and encourages other county boards to develop something similar.

The Resolution also outlines a framework for other counties to use if they are considering starting something similar.

HCR44 came about from a conversation Cuyahoga DD Board Members Sara Steimle and Derek Topola had with Rep. Rader at the Legislative Breakfast Cuyahoga DD held during DD Awareness Month in March.

We appreciate Sara and Derek’s advocacy and Reps. Rader and Odioso for supporting self-advocacy among people with developmental disabilities!
