Who We Help

Our organization supports individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, which encompass a range of conditions resulting from limitations in physical, cognitive, language, or behavioral areas. These conditions typically emerge during a person’s developmental stage, can affect daily functioning, and often persist throughout their lifetime.

We understand that finding specialized dental care, especially providers who offer sedation, can be challenging. Below are some Cleveland-area options that accept Medicaid and have experience caring for patients who require sedation. She enjoys helping families use everyday items or alter their environment to reach their children's goals. "I like to empower the parents to teach their children through play in ways they didn't know they could. It's super rewarding seeing the confidence parents gain and the small wins we see each visit," said Kiara. She loves live music and has traveled to various states to attend music festivals. Art therapists will lead crafts to teach children how to manage feelings and practice mindfulness in a fun, interactive way. Saturday, July 18 • 1 - 3:30 pm • Big Creek Center • 6140 W. 130th, Parma 44130 • The Cleveland Browns Mascot Chomps will be at this event from 1 - 1:45 pm. The Beyond the Essentials Life Skills Bootcamp is an interactive, independent living skills program led by an instructor and an aide. Daily classes take place in the classroom, kitchen, the community, and Cuyahoga DD. We are currently assessing participants for the next session. Bootcamp is open to people aged 18 and up who are eligible for Cuyahoga DD services and have completed a program assessment. July - December 2026 Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 3:30 pm Green Road Center 4329 Green Rd., Highland Hills 44128 Independent living skills taught: - Finances - Relationships - Work - Health - Community - Living on your own - And more A certificate is given upon completion.
