Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE: Thoroughly clean and maintain a welcoming ballpark for visitors at Progressive Field. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Contribute to cleaning and sanitizing all assigned areas of the ballpark Work independently while also collaborating effectively with the custodial team to ensure cleanliness Lift and transport tools, boxes, and equipment, typically ranging from 25-50 lbs., depending on the specific requirements of the role Participate in trash pulls and runs throughout various spaces in the ballpark Ability to participate/assist in trash pulls and runs throughout spaces in the Ballpark Stay on duty until the end of the shift and do not depart until the work area is checked by the Supervisor Learn and operate custodial equipment, which may include riding scrubbers, push scrubbers, carpet extractors, bunters, vacuums, wet/dry vacuums, pressure washers, backpack blowers, etc. Be available for all scheduled shifts for all both baseball and non-baseball events as scheduled by management (March/April through October/November) Perform all duties as assigned by Supervisors and/or acting Manager-on-Duty ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age Required to become member of Service Employees International Union, SEIU 1 Actively engage and listen to all guests and professionally answer any questions or concerns in a timely manner Trustworthy and dependable Ability to hear, comprehend and disseminate instructions and vital information especially in the event of emergencies Capability to lift and move tools, boxes, etc., with a weight range of approximately 25-50 lbs., dependent on the specific role AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work vast majority of home games April through October Attend all required trainings and daily briefings Ability to work entire assigned shift, this includes but not limited to pre-events, post-events, and rain delays
