Qualifications/Requirements: HS diploma equivalent / GED (preferred), 1 year experience (required) - food service & working with customers, Cash handling experience (preferred), Strong tolerance for stress, team player, and able to move to different departments, Background check (case by case) / TB Test. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Able to communicate effectively with team members and customers, Receives directions well, Guest relation skills, Able to lift, push, and/or pull to 50 lbs., Able to stand, reach, and stoop for up to 8 hours at a time, Reading, writing, math, and measuring, Basic computer skills, Time management skills. Job Duties: Perform daily food service-related duties to meet customer/patient needs, Maintain a neat, clean, and sanitary work area - includes mopping, sweeping, and dishwashing, Use department equipment in a safe, confident, and efficient manner, Follows hospital and departmental policies/procedures - includes food safety procedures, Stays current w. training requirements and safety in-services, Serves internal/external customer needs - promptly, accurately, and politely, Ability to work in advanced skill areas such as dietary and/or cashier. Physical Demands: Standing and walking constantly (rarely sitting), Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and climbing 50 lbs. (constantly), Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling (constantly), Reaching, handling, and grasping (constantly), Feeling, talking, and hearing (constantly), Requires eye/hand/foot coordination. Environment Expectations: High-volume cafeteria/restaurant environment, Constant motion and sounds, Close working space in the restaurant and kitchen.
