Description
Responsibilities: - Keep children engaged if they are not involved in the curriculum activity - Assist the lead teacher with activities/discipline - Assist staff with both long and short-range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy. - Prepare and help clean up from snacks - Prepare any activities for later in the week (i.e. cutting things out, laminating, copying, etc.) - Assist with toileting breaks - Fill in for a staff member when they may need to step out of a classroom for any reason (meetings, speaking to parents, working with children, etc.) - Maintain daily open communication with parents - Maintain confidentiality - Maintain a safe and healthy environment - Attend in-service and staff meetings - Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and time sheets. - Meet all applicable licensing regulations. Qualifications: - Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields - Passionate about working with children - Ability to build rapport with children - Positive and patient demeanor - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Schedule
Full Time: Preferred - Mon through Fri (Location open 7 am - 6 pm); Part-Time (possible): 5 days a week with smaller shifts
Pay
$12-$16 per hour
