Individuals at HELP Enjoy Empower Pop-Up from Cuyahoga DD, The Euclid Observer

Participants in HELP’s adult day support and vocational programs had a world of fun on Thursday, July 18. The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Cuyahoga DD) hosted an Empower Pop-Up event at the HELP Euclid campus.

Cuyahoga DD’s Community Development team is bringing Empower Pop-Ups to 12 adult day programs this summer. People with DD learn about self-advocacy at these educational and fun events.

An art activity, arranged and staffed by Heights Library, encouraged people to paint.

Safety bingo was a great way to learn how to stay safe in the community.

Recreation activities were provided by Empower Sports.

Individuals also learned about employment opportunities, enjoyed shaved ice from Brain Freeze, created sticker collages about the ways they like to spend their time, and more.
