Adaptive equipment fair, disability documentary coming to Parma on Thursday, Cleveland.com
CLEVELAND, Ohio — People with disabilities and their families can take part in an adaptive equipment fair and film screening sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the ReelAbilities Film Festival of Cleveland and Akron.
The event, held Thursday, takes place at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities Big Creek Center, 6149 W. 130 St., Parma.
The Move for Life Mobility Fair will run from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a screening of the 2024 documentary “Facing the Falls” until 7:40 p.m. A post-film discussion ends at 8:15 p.m.
The mobility fair will give people ages 13 and up who have disabilities an opportunity to explore adaptive equipment and home modifications with help from physical therapists, the Board of Developmental Disabilities said in a news release.
