Westlake Porter Public Library Receives Grant for Universal Changing Table, The Morning Journal
The Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road, has received a $10,000 grant from the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities to purchase and install a universal changing table, according to a news release.
The grant is part of a broader initiative to increase the number of universal changing tables in Cuyahoga County, the release said.
The new changing table is available for use in the family restroom located in the Youth Services Department, according to the release.
With a weight capacity of up to 1,000 pounds, the table is designed to accommodate adults as well as children, making it easier for caregivers to
assist individuals with disabilities in need of self-care services such as diaper changes, colostomy care and catheter maintenance, the release said.
