Assistance available to offset costs of summer camp, Cleveland Jewish News
Paying for summer camp takes commitment.
The average summer camp for a day camp, according to TrustedCare, can cost anywhere between $50 to $500 per week.
For an overnight camp, of course, the tab can be between $1,000 to $2,000 per week.
Don’t fret yet, though. There are resources to help parents navigate the costs. Many camps offer scholarships, and you’ll want to compare prices between nonprofit camps and those which are for-profit.
Amanda Taunt, vice president for operations at Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, offered some insight into the museum’s summer day camp and how area parents can achieve a great experience for their young ones while not breaking the bank.
