Become an Advocate

Advocates speak up about issues affecting them and others. Advocates work to create solutions for a group of people. Disability advocates use their leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

You can become an advocate at any time and place. People with and without disabilities can advocate for people with disabilities.

You can become an advocate by:

  • Listening to others
