Honoring Juneteenth

A collaborative celebration of creativity, storytelling, history and community voices by the Cuyahoga County Library South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch, the Community Partnership on Aging, and Broadway School of Music & the Arts.

Teaching artist Bernadette Glorioso will begin by discussing the acrylic painting exhibit currently on view at the library, offering insight into the techniques, themes, and artistic growth of the senior artists whose work is featured. The art exhibit will be on display at the library from June 22 through July 17th.

The program will then transition from canvas to narrative, as teaching artist Jasmine Golphin introduces key elements of the What Made Me digital archiving class. Through a short documentary and participant projects, attendees will experience how seniors have preserved and shared meaningful life stories using digital tools.
