Behavior Supports 

Cuyahoga DD offers various behavior supports to help people succeed at home and in the community. 

For Youth

Our behavioral health professionals use positive methods and focus on trauma-informed practices to help youth reach their full potential.

For Adults

We offer behavior supports directly to adults. We work with their guardians, support individuals who are in the criminal justice system, coordinate with other social service agencies, and train service providers.

Mental Health Supports 

School-age children can get help for behavioral needs. We consult with parents and caregivers and refer them to community-based mental health services. 

We offer short-term counseling for adults if they can't find counseling that meets their needs in the community. 

We provide psychological testing if it is needed for planning services and make referrals community mental health support. 

These services help people and their families improve mental health and well-being.

 

Human Sexuality Supports

Cuyahoga DD offers education and training about sexuality and social skills for adults over 18, their families, caregivers, staff, and community agencies. 

Services include:

  • Screening and assessing sexual knowledge, 
  • Understanding appropriate behaviors, 
  • Responding to sexual behaviors, and 
  • Developing policies for agencies. 

Cuyahoga DD does not provide direct sexuality services to minors, but we can offer limited consultation to parents and support teams.
