Who We Help

Our organization supports individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, which encompass a range of conditions resulting from limitations in physical, cognitive, language, or behavioral areas. These conditions typically emerge during a person’s developmental stage, can affect daily functioning, and often persist throughout their lifetime.

Are you passionate about reading and meeting new people? Do you want to help create an inclusive community environment? If so, apply to become a Library Facilitator. We’re seeking individuals with developmental disabilities aged 18 and up in Cuyahoga County to join this meaningful, paid, and contracted position. Applicants should feel comfortable speaking and sharing ideas with both individuals and groups. Apply by March 1 at 5 pm. Want to make a change in your community? Adult Cuyahoga County residents with developmental disabilities are invited to apply to become a Good Life Ambassador (GLA). A GLA motivates and teaches others by sharing their successes, dreams, and challenges, helping people with developmental disabilities feel included in the community. A GLA should be comfortable speaking to different people in the community, both one-on-one and in groups. We strive to enhance the accessibility, depth, and breadth of services offered, ultimately increasing the utilization of Cuyahoga County’s organizations by people with developmental disabilities.
