Who We Help

Our organization supports individuals of all ages with developmental disabilities, which encompass a range of conditions resulting from limitations in physical, cognitive, language, or behavioral areas. These conditions typically emerge during a person’s developmental stage, can affect daily functioning, and often persist throughout their lifetime.

We are thankful for our employees! In today's Employee Spotlight, say hello to Sonja! She is a Support Administrator, Youth and Transition. Sonja enjoys that her role offers a balance between office time and community engagement, which allows her to work closely with local agencies, schools, and families. "I like working at Cuyahoga DD because each day brings something different—there’s rarely a dull moment," Sonja shares. As a Support Administrator, Sonja often has the opportunity to offer comfort and support to those in need, ultimately contributing to a better quality of life for them. "I truly value being part of a team of supportive coworkers who share a deep commitment to service. I appreciate having access to our interdisciplinary teams and the knowledge and guidance they provide," she said. This past summer, Sonja took her grandson to a Home Depot workshop for kids. This experience inspired her to start some home repair projects. Recently, she installed a new kitchen faucet using video tutorials. It works well so far!
